Mom to Mom, Inc. is a nonprofit, tax exempt organization. Our focus is to provide
both informational and emotional support to moms and families of babies diagnosed with a disability or illness.
Projects
Mom to Mom delivers over 800 gift bags to four Houston area hospitals during Christmas,
Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and the summer combined. Our hope is to spread warmth over our families and to let them know we are here for them in even the smallest
ways.
Mom to Mom also continues to help moms and their families find support groups, answers
to questions and needed resources through our mom to mom line, 281.412.7284 and our updated website.
And as always, through the cooperation of
local hospitals, we continue to provide pamphlets containing pertinent and helpful
information on a variety of topics. Information includes facts about the NICU
(and level two nurseries), contact data for local and national support groups and organizations dealing with special disorders,
as well as, helpful websites.
Future Projects
Our
vision for the future is to be able to provide an opportunity for moms to take a temporary break from the stresses of
caring for a baby with a disability or illness. We envision a small home
or office space near the Texas Medical Center, which would offer these moms a tranquil place to gather and share feelings,
meet with helpful organizations in the community, and gather up the emotional and physical strength needed to care for their family and child.
